Wuxi ZOOL control Valves Co., Ltd. has developed a high-frequency steam blowing angle valve for a 1.2 million tons/year propane dehydrogenation high-performance polypropylene project polypropylene unit in China. After continuous operation on site for 4 months, the valve has high control accuracy, low noise, and sensitive action. The valve opening is consistent with theoretical calculations, and the pressure curve after the valve is closed is a straight line, indicating that the valve has almost no leakage. This marks that the product has been proven to meet the design requirements through practical certification, and the product development has been successful.
After the completion of the PDH propane dehydrogenation reactor reaction, steam purging must be carried out, and the amount and time of steam purging must be strictly controlled to ensure the removal of residual hydrocarbons from the catalyst bed of the reactor. The inlet pressure of the steam blowing angle valve is 0.6~3.6MPaG, and the outlet pressure is 0.102MPaG. The valve is blown quantitatively at each time cycle and quickly closed after the blowing is completed. When the valve is closed, the leakage should be small, otherwise it will cause the reactor pressure to rise and the safety valve to trip.
Most of the valves used in domestic PDH devices are imported from Europe and America. However, due to the high-frequency operation of the valve, the average service life does not exceed one year, and the valve leakage is severe, resulting in huge steam waste. After one year of use, the valve needs to be repaired and replaced with sealing components, and the valve internals need to be re-hardened, which is expensive, and the service life after repair is usually only about 6 months. This has brought great trouble to the safety and reliability of user devices, with frequent valve maintenance resulting in extremely high usage costs.
The high-frequency steam blowing angle valve developed by Wuxi ZOOL adopts a special sealing type and a multi-stage pressure reducing combination cage structure, which has a wide range of flow regulation, fast action response, effective control of flow rate, and reduces the flushing and noise of steam on the valve internals. The reliable sealing structure enables the valve leakage to reach Class VI. Solved the wear and leakage problem under high-frequency working conditions, with an estimated zero maintenance time of over three years.
